Betty Ann
Grabner-Danielczyk
Jul 5, 1925 — Mar 5, 2022
BettyAnn Edith Grabner-Danielczyk (Bauer)
Grew up on a dairy farm in Jefferson, Wisconsin with her sister Eva and her two brothers Victor and Lee. When she was old enough she hopped a Southbound Greyhound bus to Florida and reunited and married Felix Anton Grabner who had been stationed in Florida during WWII. She supported the war effort as a driver on the base where Felix was stationed. Settling with the family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin together they raised eleven children until Felix death at age 47. Widowed with 8 children still at home, BettyAnn persevered she managed to hold on to her home in Milwaukee with support from her three eldest sons Felix George, Channing Bruce and Christopher Scott, along with a little help from Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wells Street.
Eventually BettyAnn was able to move her family from the lower teens of Becher up to 28th and Pierce very near the Milwaukee Public Domes which she truly enjoyed visiting. She planted roses and fruit trees at the new house. BettyAnn held a few different jobs over the years trying to make matters meet, one of these is where she met her future husband Frank Danielczyk.
Frank and BettyAnn increased the beauty of the Pierce street residence by growing flowers and raising canneries. Unfortunately not to many years down the road of marital bliss Frank also died. BettyAnn widowed again, made adjustments in her life and continued to carry on. "What else was I supposed to do?" she would later say.
She eventually moved to Florida and at an age somewhere close to 60 returned to school along with her daughters Ginger Joy and Margo Holly. She pursued and refused to cave-in on preselected quotas and proved her superior intelligence and remarkable capabilities by graduating in her nurses cap and the ceremonial lighted candle, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. BettyAnn along with daughters Ginger, Margo and her youngest son Guy Zackery settled into the slower paced Florida life style. She made the long road trips back to Milwaukee to reconnect with her grown children who still lived there. Over the years, she must have made an impressive impression of Florida because two more of her children Juba Lisa and Geoffrey Joel eventually joined her in Florida.
BettyAnn traveled the world visiting, Russia, Africa, Mexico to name a few. For many years, she was able to share her wisdom her love of God her enjoyment of her very eclectic and unique life style, and her thrifty ways with all her children's children's children children that were scattered throughout the United States. Due to declining health BettyAnn returned to the state of her birth where more family members were available to assist her. A stroke stole her freedom and her ability to walk but even then she did not give up! Using her one usable foot and over hand pulls along the wall BettyAnn still manged to create excitement in the different assisted living facilities around the area. Her family visited and helped her cope with new challenges as her health declined. She reached the age of 96.
BettyAnn passed away March 5th, 2022. She was preceeded in death by her two husbands and her sons Gregory Paul Grabner, Geoffrey Joel Grabner ,and Guy Zackery Grabner.
