Carol Jean Hoepner Ehrmann, aged 73, passed away June 23, 2025.

Carol was born October 11, 1951 in West Allis to Wilmer and Pearl (Blesener) Hoepner. She spoke fondly of her first job at Burger King, first car (an orange/white Chevy Camaro) and seeing The Beatles live in 1964.

She met her husband, Pete, in journalism class at UW-Milwaukee. They were married 38 years before his 2019 passing. They live on through their children Matthew, Zachary, and Dana.

Carol excelled as a newspaper reporter, stay-at-home mom, and substitute teacher, earning immediate respect and making lifelong connections at every turn. There's never been a bigger Brewers or Bucks fan, or more frequent visitor to the local library.

Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Leon and William Hoepner, Carol is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Russell, and many more who loved her.

A visitation will be held at Greenfield Park Lutheran Church Thursday, July 3, 10:30 a.m. Her memorial service commences at 11 a.m.
