Went to Heaven on January 17, 2017. Born October 14, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois - the daughter of Leo T. and Catherine M. (nee Stuecheli) Hunstiger. Preceded in death by her husband James Suputo as well as four brothers and one sister. Survived by her step-children Kaye Atmore and Thomas Suputo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – especially Helene Brown and Susan Skoczynski.

Catherine was a vowed religious of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis until 1970 and then became a Secular Franciscan. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, Catholics United for the Faith and Pro-Life Wisconsin. She also took a special interest in caring for abused and abandoned dogs. For many years, Catherine was employed as an accountant in the offices of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (8500 W. Cold Spring Rd. in Greenfield, WI) on Monday, January 30 at 12PM with a visitation at church from 10:30AM until time of Mass. Burial immediately following at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Catherine's name may be made to Pro-Life Wisconsin or the charity of your choice.
