Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Chet L. Cyrus (age 75) on January 27, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he served his country with honor in the 82nd Airborne Division and as a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. His commitment to both family and duty inspired all who knew him.

Born on April 1, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chet dedicated his life to nurturing his loved ones. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and made cherished memories with his extended family. Known for his generosity and kindness, he always put others first—ensuring that his family felt supported, loved, and encouraged.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda, and his children, Nick and Corine. Their absence in his life was profound, yet he continued to honor their memories through his devotion to his remaining family. Chet is survived by his son, Joe (wife Amanda). He leaves behind a cherished legacy through his grandchildren: Elle and Cash, from Joe's family, and Xavier and Marcus, the children of his late daughter Corine, who continue to honor his memory. These grandchildren were the light of his later years, constantly reminding him of the enduring bond of family.
