Dillon J. Gilbert passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2025 at the young age of 25. He is preceded into eternal life by Donald (grandfather) and Skie (family dog). Dillon leaves on earth Don (father), Jaime (mother), Alice (grandmother), Faith (sister), John (brother), Preston (nephew), and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Though he had his troubles, Dillon will always be remembered as someone with big dreams and aspirations, who was highly motivated by the things that inspired him. As a child, he dreamed of joining the FBI, but as he got older, he realized how much he loved to cook. That dream took a new direction, and brought forth the idea of moving to New Orleans and opening up a restaurant. Tragically, this will never have a chance of coming to fruition. He will be remembered as someone who loved music, books, and all things mysterious. He challenged conventional thinking, and wasn't afraid to question everything that he was ever taught.

Dillon, we pray that you will find the peace and freedom that life here on earth could never give. Go forward, carried by the love of your family and friends, in the hopes that we will one day meet again. Until then, know your memory will be carried in our hearts, and you will never be forgotten. We love you.
