With broken hearts we announce the passing of Jacob (Jake) James Ferguson (Miszewski) on March 23, 2025 after an extended illness at the age of 51.  He was our hero and able to save two lives after his passing by donating both his kidneys.  This amazing gift just reminds us of his generous and genuine spirit.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Fabishak (nee Ferguson), Dan Fabishak, and Thomas Shaw.

Jake is survived by his three daughters Audrey Ferguson, Lauren Ferguson and Ava Ferguson, his long time partner Michelle Schaefer, sister Margaret Farrell (nee Fabischak), and mother of his children Stacy Smith along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jake was born here in Milwaukee WI on October 16th 1973, and proudly shared his birthday with his oldest daughter Audrey who he said was the best birthday present ever. He was so proud of Lauren's academic accomplishments at Northwestern University, and of Ava's creative spirit, who he always said was just like his.

Jake was a musician/singer (ZOR)/DJ/producer, BMX bicycle guru, and skateboard enthusiast.  He used these interests to bridge the gap between different people and lifestyles and was artfully able to bring these people together in ways no one thought possible.

A funeral visitation will be held on Friday April 4th, 2025 at Brett Funeral home in Milwaukee from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  A sharing of memories will be from 7:00 to 7:30 pm.  2001 W Wisconsin Ave.    A celebration of  his amazing accomplishments and life will be held at O'Brian's pub starting at 8pm 4929 W. Vliet.
