Found Eternal Peace on Sunday, August 10, 2014 surrounded by loving family. John was 93 years young. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, of over 50 years, and his beloved children Michael (Terri) Olson, Cindy (Ron) Vianes, Julie Buhler, Heidi (John) Sekowski, and preceded in death by late Thomas Olson. Proud grandfather of Jessica (Allen) Ramm, Jacob (Angie), Melanie (Kevin), Joshua (Connie), Jeremiah (Jess), Johan, Madeline, Jonah, Elizabeth, John Buhler, Analise, Shane, and Jesse, great grandfather to Andrew, Brandon, Joe, Kaylee, Joaquin, Adrian, Kieran, Wyatt, Miah, Brodie and family friend Kathy. Further survived by his siblings William, Richard, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by sister Betty and brother Bob.

Born in Wakhon, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota. John proudly served throughout Europe during WWII in the Army Air Corp and was awarded the air medal. In 1954, he founded the John Buhler Company Inc., in Milwaukee, where he passionately worked throughout his life and it will continue to flourish. His work ethic and zest for life influenced all those around him. John's intelligent, inquisitive, straight forward approach, paired with his loving nature will be dearly missed by all.

Services will be held at The First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee (1342 N Astor St) Wednesday, August 13 at 6pm with celebration of life beginning at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Program. John proudly participated in this program in May of 2010. The support provided by the doctors and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, as well as his in-home caregivers, will never be forgotten.
