Obituary

John George Weber, 79, of Hartford, WI, passed away unexpectedly on January 24th, 2023. John was born on March 22, 1943, to Paul Peter and Hannah Josephine(Kuehn) Weber, on their family's kitchen table.

John grew up in the Milwaukee area where he enjoyed going to double features at the local movie theater, playing baseball, bowling, archery, and fishing. John worked at an ice cream stand, in Milwaukee, where he met his forever sweetheart, Pamela "Pammy" Jean Koehler. They were wed on November 10, 1962, at St. Elizabeth Church in Milwaukee, WI. Together they raised 3 daughters: Jenny, Laura, and Amy. John worked for Milwaukee Manufacturing and later for Kettle Moraine Coatings before retiring. He was a devoted husband for 41 years caring for Pamela until her passing in 2004.

John was known as "The Legend" among his family. He enjoyed dancing to The Twist and Wipe Out at parties and weddings.  At family get-togethers he could be found enjoying canned cranberries, hamburgers, peanut butter cookies, and a half liter of diet coke. His most famous one liner will always be, "You got that right!" which was said whether or not he actually heard what the person was saying. John always had a smile on his face and a joke to crack. He adored his grandchildren, but especially doted upon his great-grandchildren.

John is survived by his children, Jennifer (Roger) Lawyer, Laura (Robert) Wesner, and Amy Weber; grandchildren Matthew Klumb, Amanda Klumb, Justin Helgerson, Samantha Dayton, Sonja Jacobus, Stephanie Anderson, Brianna (Brien) Lee, Lindsey (Aaron) Perpich, and Mackenzie Wesner; and great-grandchildren Kiara, Evan, Bradley, Azalea, Lotus, and Sophia.

John was preceded in death by his wife, parents, parents-in-law Fredrick and Audrey Koehler, brothers Leroy and Donald Weber, sister Mary Ann Czarnecki and her husband Anatolij, sister-in-law Betty Weber, and great-grandson Benjamin Lee.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hartford Fire and Rescue Department and Hartford Aurora Hospital staff for their efforts to revive John after suffering a heart attack.

A memorial service will be held on March 11, 2023 from 11am-2pm at First United Methodist Church of Hartford, 738 West Monroe Avenue,Hartford, WI 53027.  Memories will be shared and a light lunch served.
