Died August 30, 2016 at her residence in Greenfield, WI. Born September 9, 1930 in Utica, IL, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (nee Morrissey) Comiskey. Preceded in death by her parents and brother William. Survived by her niece Margaret Comiskey and nephews Brian (Mary), Thomas, and Kerry (Amity) Comiskey. Also survived by two great-nieces and one great-nephew, other relatives, many dear friends and her caregiver Dave. Gretta was an educator and retired from teaching in the Wauwatosa Public School System. She was an active member of the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin and a volunteer of the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Irish Fest where she performed in the 1980's.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church (9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI 53130) on Saturday, September 10 at 11AM with a gathering at church from 10AM until time of Mass. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Utica, IL. Memorials in Gretta's name may be made to the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center of WI, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hales Corners, or the charity of your choice.
