Michael Allen Sommer, (72), of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on January 2, 2024.

Michael was born to Wesley and Bernadine Sommer, on February 3, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a talented quarterback at Hamilton High School. Michael's love of sport continued throughout his life including baseball and tournament bowling. Michael retired in 2020 from Meltric as a Scheduling Manager and was a cherished and dedicated member of the St. Luke Episcopal Church.  A loved father, son, and brother, he was always there for a friend in need with a joke or two up his sleeve. The quiet tranquility of fishing was a cherished pastime.

Michael will be truly missed by his family and friends. Michael is survived by his beloved children, Shannon (Ricky) McDaniel, Ryan (Anna Tavistock) Sommer, and Kerry (Scott Faust) Sommer and also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler, Patrick, Echo, Maia, Joshua, Sean, Basil, Rowan, Levi, and Hudson. He is also survived by his loving mother, Bernadine (née Wojtczak) Sommer. He is survived by his brother, Jeffery Sommer along with his niece Sara (Adam) Mattson. Michael was preceded by his loving father, Wesley Sommer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Brett Funeral Home in Michael's name are appreciated. The family will host visitation and funeral service on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. The services will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 3200 S Herman St., Milwaukee.
