Sherry May Long

October 13, 1971 – July 27, 2026

Sherry Long began her journey to be with the Creator on July 27, 2026, at the age of 54.

Sherry was born on October 13, 1971, to Gordon Long and Audrey Long. She lived a life centered on family, friendship, and caring for those around her. Her strength, generosity, and loving spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May the Creator welcome her home in peace and surround those who mourn her with comfort and strength.

Sherry is survived by her three sons: James G. Long, Aaron L. Jacobs, and Andrew L. Jacobs, and one daughter, Desiree Labelle

She is further survived by her beloved family members: Audrey F. Long, Big Aaron, Michel Long, Miles Levi, Marlon Levi, Marcel Levi, Demarco Chakacon, Chaka G., Janaea M., Abraham M., Nunaya M., Lil Audrey Long, Andrew Smith, Raylance Long, Holy Long, Annie Long, Jenny Johnson, Tom Cat Johnson, Andrew Jacobs Jr., Alexander Jacobs, Javion Long, Javonnie Long, Theadore Jacobs, "Sonny" Damarzio, Armani Blackbull, Lanaya Teller, Nativa Jacobs, Judith Turney, Florence Gomez, Ray Cantu, Gerald Jackson and Mona Levi.

Sherry was preceded in death by her sister Candy Long, Audrey Lonna Long, Lonna Levi, Billy Levi, Vivian Tourtillott, Marge Teller, Bug, Earl, and Lolita.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., for a celebration of life and sharing of memories.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. before the service at Brett Funeral Home, located at 2001 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53233. A private interment will be held at a later date.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. May the Creator watch over all who gather to honor Sherry's life, and may her memory continue to be a source of comfort and strength for generations to come.
