Thomas Sobottke passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022. He loved his family: daughter Melissa Taguchi, son Samuel Sobottke, daughter Marika Sobottke and her boyfriend Louis, brother David Sobottke and his wife Debi, sister Catherine Krupp and her husband Roger, beautiful granddaughters Ayaka, Zara, and Louna, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and most of all his loving wife Kathryn.

Tom lived his life passionately, whether it was teaching history at Mukwonago High School and Carroll University, living history through Civil War reenactments where he made many dear friends, rooting for the Cubs and Brewers, or supporting the rights of all members of society. The man in the rainbow striped suspenders was always quick to start up a conversation with family, friends, and strangers. He will be missed by many.

Services for Tom will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 631 N. 19 ^th Street, Milwaukee, WI, Wednesday, July 13, visitation 2:00, services 3:00.
